Milan Fashion Week

1.Versace
Vunk was the theme for Versaces latest collection. Vunk of course is versace punk. Inspired by the New York Metropolitan museum of arts exhibit on punk the girls looked reminiscent of the famous safety pin dress Elizabeth Hurley wore in the 90s. Glamorous punk and not grungy these girls screamed versace but also screamed punk. The safety pins, yellow and black animal print fur, leather and metallic adornments completed this sexy looks.

2.Blumarine
I am not going to lie some of this collection I hated but there were a few pieces that I thought were gems. I loved the color pallet and those cute short dresses! They were girly and playful and seemed especially light for fall which I enjoyed! There were also some low cut blazers I was loving!

 3. Dolce and Gabbana
If you know me you know I have an obsessions with religious icons and anything religion related( don't know why cos I'm not really religious but it just facinates me). D&G used religious icons and mosaiacs inspired by Sicily's Cathedral of Monreale. I loved it! The use of the mosaics was great and really added to the looks. I loved all the different sections( minus that gray one) and thought it screamed D&G. The accessories were particularly excellent, the crown headbands were fabulous and the over sized jewlery and caged wedges were stunning. The detail really coincided with the inspiration and these looks managed to not cause any controviery( unlike last season).

 4. Gucci
This collection found Frida going back to the dark side for Gucci. After last seasons punchy bright colors this collection went dark but still utilized some color and managed to be just as punchy. A mix of 40s sensibility and 70s disco glam these girls seemed tough, sexy, confident and very glamourous. There was an element of cotoure to these deigns with the dresses towards the end but most of the collection was wearable and will give the gucci girl a glamourus edge for fall.

 5. Prada
Prada went back in time this season and Miuccia referenced Pradas greatest hits for this collection. She still gave it a modern twist and didn't make the looks feel old or too vintage. The sleeves cuffs on most of the jackets were exaggerated but still demure. The girl looked like she belonged in a film nior murder mystery and was just walking away from the murder. Disheveled but still sexy and powerful. The collection brought some air of the girls being unhinged and you could feel the story that Miuccia was trying to tell.

 6. Pucci
Pucci is one of my favorite designers and he definitely delivered this season. These girls looked like rock goddesses from the 60s/70s. The long layed fringe helped the girls be transported to this time period. I loved his use of pastels and still managed to make the girl look sexy and bad ass. He also showed a soft side with those light mini dresses towards the end.
