New Makeup!

I picked up some new makeup the first chance I got this break. I picked up Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in the color "Deauville" and Urban Decay's All Nighter makeup setting spray. I have heard so many people rave about Nars's sheer glow and it definitely lives up to the hype. I've been using it for about two weeks now and it gives you a natural glow and looks amazing in pictures. The setting spray is a must have as well, your makeup will not budge all day with this stuff!

I also was lucky enough to receive The Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay as a Christmas present. It is gorgeous and all the colors are brand new. I love the rose toned hues and think they are a unique addition to my eyeshadow collection!

Couture Week!

Couture week is probably my favorite because I admire the hard work that goes into every single piece and appreciate the dying art the is couture. Back in the day basically every item was couture, hand made and personal but not with fast fashion chains and department stores clothes are becoming factory produced and the market for couture is dwindling. I hope maybe one day it can be revitalized! This week though was not as amazing as it usually is but there were still collections I loved!

1. Versace
Versace was probably my favorite this season. This collection was dirty glam rock at its finest, extremely sexy and dark. I loved how some of the dresses looked like they were falling off the models and revealing their undergarments. This was high shine but effortless and each model looked glossy and badass. I particularly loved Lindsey Wixson in that blue jumpsuit.

2. Giambattista Valli
This collection was inspired by porcelain and evoked the delicate nature of different countries china. This collection was beautiful and the colors used were perfectly in tune with the designers inspiration. My favorite look in particular was look 35. I loved the soft and intricate details aligned with the youthful silhouettes.

3. Armani Prive
This collection was very soft, elegant and heavily influenced by the 30s and 40s. The color palette was mostly nude and it really added to the elegance and the softness of the pieces. Each of the pieces were subtly reveling and sexy without stuffing it down your throat. I can see many of the dresses walking on the red carpet. Another success for Mr. Armani!

4.Maison Martin Margiela
Margiela is always unique but there was something very wearable about this collection. Perhaps because many of the clothes were re purposed into these looks and given new life. The collection did not have a strong theme really which every piece being pretty individual from one another. The strongest vibe came from the 60s inspired mini coats and dresses and clog like shoes. The masks were also brought back and were individually crafted for each look. I personally want to wear the latex white shirt and blues "jeans" right now.

This collection was ultra sexy, cool and dare I say comfortable. The woman who wears this is going to come off as someone who is effortlessly sexy and chic. This collection gives me heavy Kanye West vibes and makes me think this is probably what he was going for when he debuted.

My favorites/least favorites from The Met Gala

The Met Gala is pretty much my favorite fashion event of the year. I love the risks that people are willing to take. This years theme was punk and it was really interesting to see what peoples interpretation of that was! I really wish I could have gone I love punk fashion and would have had so much fun. Here are some of my favorite and least favorite looks!

Favorites

 Rooney Mara
I love the goth element to this even though shes in white. She does this type of look alot but honestly if it aint broke don't fix it.
Anja Rubik
I loved this Debbie Harry inspired look. Very punk but didn't seem like she was trying to hard. I also loved how she went monochromatic even down to the lipstick.

  Nina Dobrev
This girl always pulls out a flawless look. I love the confidence that she is exuding here. Her makeup and hair are especially on point.

 Nicole Riche
This Bitch went for it. When I saw her I gasped. I did not expect this but I loved it. Totally out there but perfect for the Met.
 Amber Heard
Okay so she doesn't look very punk but damn does she look gorgeous. She is forever sexy in anything she wears.
 Bella Heathcote
I love her dress, hair and makeup but I would have paired her in those pointy Dior shoes off the spring runway and gone with a different bag.
 Aubrey Plaza
I loved this mini with the cape like element. Her caged shoes are a nice touch as well. I am really obsessed with this dress actually the color and detail is flawless.
 Sienna Miller
I loved how she styled a classic dress and added amazing studded elements. This jacket is so bad ass and her hairpiece is a great touch. She looks like shes amazing so much fun as well!
 Giovanna Battaglia
She workeeeeddd it. I am dying over the safety pins in her hair and her shoes are flawless. I love the shape and structure of her dress. Very Italian with a punk twist.
 Ashley Olsen
She looked like a 60s/70s flower child. This dress is amazing I love the outer element that makes her look like a sun. I can only imagine the beautiful movement that this dress must have. I also really liked her hair and makeup with it and that she kept it relatively minimal but still done.
 Elle Fanning
I love that she is willing to take risks. She always pulls things off that most people would not dare wear. Her makeup look is totally crazy here but this was the time and the place to be crazy and I appreciate her for going for it. She looks like a freaking bird on acid and its fab.
 Mary-Kate Olsen
She can do no wrong in my book. Her style comes off so effortlessly to me. I love her 1920s meets hippy child vibe that she has going here. I want that robe and that dress now.
 Blake Lively
She always looks amazing and she doesn't have a stylist so that's extremely impressive. Her eye makeup is killer I am definitely going to try and recreate that look for an upcoming event.
Marion Cotillard
all I have to say is YES. I am obsessed with this. I hate her hair but If I look at this look without her head its perfect.

Olivia Wilde
DAMN. She looks so hot here. Her abs are killer and her look is SO clean.

Gwen Stephani
Just being her hotself perusual. While I wish I had seen her pull of something a little more crazy I cannot deny that she looks amazing here.

Lilly Collins
I am obsessed with her makeup especially the way it shoots in black and white.

Emma Watson
She looks soooooo good in this dress. I love the way her shoes are not a perfect t-strap and the way her train comes out.

Sofia Coppola and Marc Jacobs
Love the way she pulls off the pajama trend! She looks so effortless and comfortable. I really love those silky fabrics and have been rocking that trend myself recently. I'm impressed that Marc wore a suit I definitely thought he would also go with the pajama look.

Kristen Stewart
She has been KILLING it lately. I am not a big fan of her acting but she has def stepped up her game style wise. This monochromatic look is chic but still soo badass. Her makeup is so flawless aswell.

Jennifer Lawrence
She also is always killing it style wise. I love how she went with such a classic look but still added some punk edge with her shoes. Her veil is perfection she looks straight out of her own Dior campaign.
Kate Bosworth
Finally someone wore Balmain. I love this dress and am glad she didn't keep the boots this look originally came with. I wish though that she would have picked different shoes, they seem like such an afterthought. I'm still obsessed with this dress though and her makeup and hair are perfect.
Cara Delevingne
YES. She looks so bad ass. I want that dress in my closet now. Her necklaces also add a nice touch but are not too heavy that they take away from the deep v of the dress. PERFECTION.
Sarah Jessica Parker
This is how you do the met gala. Her hair and head piece was the best thing on that red carpet by far. That is risk taking at its finest. SO Carrie Bradshaw. I also loved her boots.

Worst

Ivanka Trump
She looks like that embarrassing mom who is trying to be cool but just isn't

Heidi Klum
It's not that she looks bad at all but I was SO disappointed in this look. Heidi is know for her extravagant costumes and risk taking style and I was expecting her to go all out. She didn't even try to look punk at all so sad.

Nicki Minaj
I love her hair and makeup but her outfit was also really disappointing. Yea I get that shes trying to clean up her look and be taken seriously but honestly this is the time for risk taking and her dress is sooooo boring. Sign

Miley Cyrus
Oh Miley.... I love you but this is just so wrong. She is trying WAY to hard. I can't believe Marc Jacobs thought this was a good idea. If the bitch was really so punk she would have lost that slip. I don't even wanna talk about her hair

Ginnifer Goodwin
Her eyemake is horrifying and this dress fits her really awkwardly. Nice try Ginnifer better luck next time.

Kate Upton
For someone who's trying to get taken seriously in the fashion world you think she would at lest tried to dress according to the theme. She looks like a boring beach bridesmaid. YAWN

Anne Hathaway
lol

Rene Zellweger
Her dress is so grandma and her bangs are terrible.

Alexander Wang and Julianne Moore
Alexander looks adorable perusual but Julianne on the other hand..... I am really disappointed in this outfit. It fits her weird, seems to short, and of all his beautiful designs at Balenciaga and his own label this past season he pulls out this? I'm confused. The color is beautiful I will give him that.

Ones I'm on the fence about
Kimye
Well Kanye looks hot perusual. I am really on the fence about Kim's look. On one hand she looks like a couch but on the other hand this is actually a cool look. I honestly thing this look would just work better on a model on the runway. I feel horrible but Kim needs to try a new look out instead of tight ass shit that makes her look like a stuffed sausage. I also think her hair needs more volume. Ugh I wanna like this but I can't.

Gwyneth Paltrow
I like this dress but not for this occasion or on her. Shes been rocking some really cool looks on the red carpet lately and this is kind of boring in comparison. I also hate her hair and makeup.

Katy Perry
I loved this look on the runway and am obsessed with the crown. I just don't like it on her. It doesn't show off her body well and makes her look short and bigger then she is. I think a different shoe choice would have helped and maybe different hair.
